Recently, I was inspired by Amanda Blake Soule's Book: The Creative Family. Because of her book, I taught JJ to sew using techniques appropriate to a preschooler. Stitches has many colors of embroidery floss to choose from (I let mine choose his own, but it might be a fun errand to run during nap time on Saturday). I recommend Value Village on 12th and Pine if you don't have any fabric on hand. Even better, stop by Victrola, we got a free burlap sack that I cut up into squares that fit the embroidery hoop. Now, JJ sews and I work on my own project!

This week, on Wednesday, August 13 at 10:30, Charlie 'the Noiseguy' Williams will be telling stories with wild sound effects. Even though we have a flight to catch that afternoon, we plan to be there! Recommended for ages 4+.
